All About the Spring Ice Show – Skating Through the Decades

The spring ice show – Skating Through the Decades – is taking place very soon. There is a lot of information about the show to cover, so we are dedicating this month’s feature article to just that. We apologize in advance, as this month's newsletter will be longer than usual to accommodate the extra information. For any additional information or questions, please contact:

Beginning on January 22, an FSCSM representative will be at LTS weekly to help with registration, presales, submitting skater information forms, and answering any questions.

A $100 non-refundable registration deposit for participation in the spring ice show is due by February 26. The remaining balance is due on April 12 and will be based on each individual skater’s selections.

  • Show registration (non-refundable deposit, one main group costume, video link for download): $165

Additional performances for purchase:

  • Opening performance (Basic 6 level and above): $40

  • Finale (All skaters): $40

Note that soloists or group performers outside of the Opening, Finale, or Lyrical Groups are responsible for covering the cost of their costumes. The Skating Director is happy to work with these skaters to find appropriate costumes for the song theme. Skaters will be provided an itemized invoice for the remaining balance for payment by April 12.

Presales

From March 5-11, FSCSM club members who are skating in the show will be able to purchase on-ice seating at a discounted price. These skaters can purchase up to four (4) tickets in rows 1-2 for half price and can select specific seats. The tickets can be for any show (or combination of shows), but only four half price tickets can be purchased during the presale.

From March 12-18, show volunteers will be able to purchase on-ice seating at a discounted price. These volunteers can purchase up to two (2) tickets in rows 3-4 for half price. The tickets can be for any show (or combination of shows), but only two half price tickets can be purchased during the presale.

Note that if a volunteer has a child in the show, they will only be able to choose one of the discounted seat price options – either the four tickets allowed for club members skating in the show, or the two tickets allowed for volunteers. To make our show a success, each skater participating in the spring ice show must have at least one parent volunteer to help. Please see the Skating Director for needed volunteer positions.
